What internal struggle does a woman face when trapped in an abusive relationship?

This work plunges us into the obsessive, repetitive, and self-destructive behaviors that lead a woman to remain in a toxic and violent dynamic:
the obsession with her partner, the constant urge to please, the distortion of the world around her, the monstrous and decaying perception of the self.
