HEARTWORK

HEARTWORK is an intimate video performance in which Fina Ferrara turns inward to mend invisible wounds, using pain as a pathway to regain trust and uncover personal truth. The heart functions both as metaphor and as material body, a vessel of emotion, memory, and transformation.

Through the act of sewing the words TRUST and later TRUTH into real hearts, Ferrara reflects on how our inner voice is often silenced over time by fear, experience, and the mind itself. The work proposes repair as a form of creation, revealing self-understanding as a process shaped by healing, vulnerability, and the gradual restoration of trust in one’s own truth.

The video was presented at Indra Gallery (London, 2025) as part of the exhibition PATHOS, as well as in the global virtual exhibition Fragmentations of Identity organized by Revolú Gallery (New York, 2025), and at the Multicultural Art Festival 2025 held at the World Trade Center in Melbourne (Australia).
