PARASITÓ
PREMIERED IN 2025
In Parasitó, Fina Ferrara delivers a searingly visceral performance that transforms the gallery into a living organism marked by tension, erosion, and corporeal memory.
Engaging her own body as a site of both vulnerability and resistance, Ferrara navigates the spatial and conceptual architecture of the exhibition through deliberate, ritualistic gestures that leave physical traces upon the walls, smears, imprints, and stains that accumulate as symbolic evidence of the parasitic dynamics she interrogates.
Ferrara redefines the performative space as a terrain of ethical inquiry, compelling viewers to confront their participation in systems of exploitation and environmental degradation. Her performance not only enacts but also archives the trauma of parasitic behaviors (ecological and interpersonal) by inscribing them into the very fabric of the gallery, leaving an indelible invitation for introspection and collective accountability.
