The antibiotic Anisomycin inhibits protein and DNA synthesis, which is necessary for the formation of long-term memories. It has been proposed that injecting anisomycin into the hippocampus can erase selective memories.

We carry our luggage full of stories. Some of them we wish never to remember again. Could anisomycin be the antidote to this affliction?
